Sulu Daunivalu, the founder of the Museum of Pacific and Oceanic Arts in Latvia, is a distinguished Fijian art curator with a remarkable commitment to the arts and culture of the Pacific and Oceania. As President of the Fijian branch of the Royal Commonwealth Society, he has promoted cultural exchanges among Commonwealth countries. His work with the VIV Foundation has fostered artistic and educational collaborations in the Asia-Pacific region. Through his company, Concept Pacific (Fiji) Limited, and as Director of Pacific Art, Sulu has been pivotal in promoting contemporary Oceanic artists and Pacific arts globally.

At the Gallery of Pacific and Oceanic Art, our mission is to celebrate and promote the artistic expressions of the Pacific and Oceanic regions. The gallery is housed in a historic building on Vilandes iela 16/45 in Riga, a site of significant cultural heritage constructed in 1909. The building, a stunning example of Art Nouveau architecture, adds a rich historical dimension to the gallery experience. Visitors can admire the intricate details and elegance of this architectural gem, which perfectly complements the diverse artworks displayed within its walls.
